i am 13 years old and live in western NY, 5'6 and 100 lbs.  I have been playing for just 2 years beginning in middle school and recently joined a travel leauge where i am the libero.  i woould like to get on the high school team and would like to know what workouts are best.  My dad has an everlast speed bag set up (would this help?) with a full array of weights.  any recommendations?

your question is a little bit out of my expertise because I'm not so good at preparing someone in physical condition, but I'm sure that you are still too young to lift any weights, it can help when you have 16-17 years but for now, forget the Gym and weights and do some exercises with your own weight...
