Volleyball rotations

Have you ever heard of the setter setting out of the middle?  My daughter is on a freshman H.S team that is not very experienced.  She is the setter and is the most experienced/skilled player on the team, with Club/school experience for 3 years.  The coach says this is a rotation used in college level.  Have you ever heard of this?   What would it be called and where can we get more info?  WE have only heard of the more common, 4-2, 5-1, 6-2 rotations.  Thank you!

I'm not sure if I answered this already but, I have never heard of the setters position being in the middle position other than the 4-2 (which is a very simple offense).  I coach in college and this is not something we teach or see.
