8th grader WANTS TO PLAY!!!

okay well, im only 14
but i love volleyball
its my favorite sport
i think i am pretty good at it, but i want to be on a team, like somewhere where i can learn and get better at it.. i am kinda short. and ppl always say thats the problem. but i mean i would love to learn about it and play .. like tutored or something..
i want a practice i can go to everyday. i just dont know how to find one. please help

a) Being short makes spiking more challenging.  So you spike more from the back row!   Being short makes blocking much more challenging.  

But volleyball isn't usually won by the team that's the tallest.  It's usually won by the team that bumps, serves and sets the best.  And your height doesn't affect any of those three!  

b) Do you play club, or travel or AAU volleyball?  If not, you should.  Then you could play basketball and soccer at school WHILE you play volleyball.  Do you need to know what club programs are in your area?  Then just look at some of the other questions that I've been asked, and you'll find a map of all the regions in the USA.  

c) Did you play volleyball at school this past fall?  If you want to play next fall, then get ready to attend summer camps?  Also, see if your school coach is offering any open gyms.  I encourage you to have your parents contact the middle school and high school coach and see what' son their schedules.
