More plays
Question
Thanks for you response. The plays you mentioned were great. The double
quicks is a play we do use, and yes we do find it effective. X is another play
that works great for us after a good pass on a serve receive. The other play
you mentioned were the middle runs a slide and the set goes to the outside
is something I wana try next practice. It will be really helpful if you can help
me out with some more of these plays/tandems. Thanks so much!
Answer
I'm glad that you found my answer useful! That's really good to hear.
Like I said in the earlier emails, plays have to:
a) fit into your personnel, and;
b) promote the possibilities of one-on-one blocking situations.
You may have MB's that hate slides or can't do them. Many men have just this attitude. They think it's a "girl's play," and maybe they're right. But I just like to win. So I'll do boy's plays, girl's plays, dog's plays, etc. I don't care. :)
So, I recommend you try to create your own. It's easiest to create plays when your setter is front row, b/c the two remaining from row hitters have a lot of room to run routes.
