club volleyball and if you quit

Question
My daughter is beyond dissatisfied with the new club team she joined She talked with the coach and things got better Then, at practice, the coach decides to tell the team "it's because of the TWO middles" (my daughter is a middle)and their inability to block that is causing the team to loose!!! that is not true The coach doesnt keep stats In practice they have never done BLOCKING drills, she even had the middles sit out and replaced them with outside hitters!! it was humiliating and unjust Can you leave a club and be able to play for another club at all??? HELP

Answer
Hello Karen and welcome to www.AllExperts.com

My name is Coach Tovar

To make sure that all my readers young and old can understand some of my comments, I have chosen to use simple vocabulary words and interpret the rule for this sole purpose.

I cannot speak for any company or individuals working for any club team but what I can say is that every organization does have a club director.

The first thing a parent should always do when they have a concern is to set a meeting with that club director. This usually solves a lot of the problems. It is always a sensitive issue when you are a parent and feel or believe that your son/daughter is being treated differently. The best thing to do is stay calm and go into this meeting with the idea that there will be a solution. Speaking loudly only leads to assume that a person cannot be civil and that any information that comes out from the club director will not be heard and therefore a solution will not be possible.

The worst things a parent can do without a prior meeting with that club director is to assume that certain things are unfair and against your children. It will also be a big mistake to accuse anybody without actually talking to them first.

Because joining a club team is not mandatory you do have the right to go to another club. It all depends if there is a contract between you and their organization. Every club team is different depending on their demographic and social situations.

If you do decide to go to another club team please stay polite when you do decide to leave  and go somewhere else because many organizations will not allow parents or players who have made implications or accusations against them without taking the necessary precautions. The "bad word of mouth" is never welcomed in any organizations because they do not want to take the risk or deal with potential drama.

If you still have the chance, talk to their club director and never to their coach directly. It is imperative that you have the club director present. Sometimes the problems have done sentimental damage by the time it gets to a caring ear.

I hope this answers your question. Please take the time to rate me. Any feedback you can provide for me will be great.
