Uniform / Apparel

Question
I am going to start volleyball for the first time at my high school as a fresman in a few wks& ahve the following  question:

when going to games weither it be home or travel (far or not) I dont want to wear just my shorts (spandex) by them selves to the game

but wear something over them (sweats maybe ?) over them and then take them off after warm / bright before about to start (play)


how would i go about doing that ?

what about taking them off in gym / arena ? in front off people ect ?

since u chochecd girls what did some of them do ?
did they pull them down iat corut meet or what ect?

Good evening and welcome to www.allexperts.com!  It's great to hear from you!  

a) Ask your head coach.  Some coaches allow their players to wear their school clothes.  Some coaches require girls to wear their uniforms.  So ask the coach.

b) Many coaches really don't care what you wear on the bus, or what music you listen to, etc.  I'm that coach.  My requirement:  Get your homework done!  So, school clothes, pajama pants, etc.  I don't care.  I don't believe what a girl wears on the bus will affect how we play vs. Central High tonight.  

c) On the other hand, I never see girls wearing anything but spandex before matches here in Virginia.  I guess b/c it's a fall sport here, and pants are unnecessary.  However, ask your coach if you guys will be issued team sweats.  When volleyball in Virginia used to be a winter sport (from the time of Christ until 2003), my teams all had team sweats that girls could cuddle up in on the long bus rides, or wear to school on game days.  If your team isn't going to be issued team sweats, then ask Coach if you can buy your own?  Does Coach care about the color?  the brand?  the length?  

d) Don't worry about taking your long pants off in front of people... as long as your spandex are on underneath!  :)  99% of people are now used to seeing girls in spandex.  It's not when spandex first became popular in around 1993, and many dads thought they were nasty.
