Spike, Standing, and Block Reach. And maybe a few other things :P

Question
Hi :)
I was just wondering if you had an idea of what the average spike, standing and block reach was for a 15 year old 5'4" girl. If you had some exercises that could dramatically increase these stats, it would be awesome if you could include them in your answer :)

I also wanted to ask if you thought I (Being a setter/right side, but mostly setter) would have any chance of making a club team next year. I have been a starter on all my school teams since grade 4, and we've won many championships. I'm in grade 10 and this year I got called up to start for the senior team in a few tournaments. I'm also playing beach volleyball this summer in the OVA (Ontario's club league) beach tour.
Do you also think that I could potentially play for some of the universities in Ontario? (McMaster, Queen's, Western etc.)
Thank you so much for taking the time to read and answer my question. Its greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Maddie

Answer
Hello Maddie:
* Standing:  maybe 6'8" (can't tell b/c I don't know how long your arms are).
* Block:  maybe 7'6" (can't tell b/c I don't know vertical or arm length).
* Approach:  maybe 7'8" (can't tell b/c..........)
However, unless you grow more, all this won't matter to almost all high level travel teams and almost all college teams.  :(

On my present team, my setters are 5', 5'2" and 5'5".   :)   But they are athletic, hard workers and quick.  I really don't need to know how high they jump b/c they won't be playing front row; however, they are 100% necessary for our team to be successful.

OF COURSE you can play club ball!  Why aren't you now?  If you want to play college ball, playing club ball is VERY important.  If it's the same way in Canada as here, there is incredible competition for spots on a college team, and the vast majority play years of club ball.  Many years.

Now, as for the colleges you listed:  I know nothing about the colleges in Canada, if the vball programs are strong, weak, etc.  I have no idea if you have a chance to play at these places or not.

What else can I do for you?  If you want to email me directly, please visit my team and me and www.coachhouser.com.  You'll LOVE the smiling faces.  :)  And if you're in the USA this summer, please come to some of my summer camps.  I think they will be the best camps you'll ever attend.  :)
