base running in softball

Question
In slow-pitch softball, when a person hits a home-run he is only obligated to touch first base, then return to the dugout.  My question is, are any other base runners on base at the time of the home-run obligated to touch just one base or are they required to run all bases and touch home plate also?  Thanks Alvin.

Answer
Hi Alvin,
it looks like your league has a variation on the ASA rule.

In ASA only very limited classes (ie Men's Majors and A) do not have to run bases on a HR.  In these classes the batter and any runners do not need to run the bases.  This eliminates any runner appeals.

Since your league has changed the rule somewhat you need to talk to your softball supervisor or commis. to see if the runners can just leave the bases or need to touch the next base.
