basic position

Question
Can you please tell me the basic position (not bunting situations) for 10u middle infielders. Should they be in front of the baseline or behind it? Also on balls to the outfield, is this correct? The throw always comes in to the person on second base, either the ss or 2nd baseman, or does the right fielder throw to first?
Last question. Runners on 1 & 2 - fielder throws to 1st to get the out. Does the first baseman throw home or to the pitcher if the runner is approaching 3rd, but has not rounded for home? This is a big controversy with my team parents. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Answer
The general position for middle infielders is behind the baseline this gives the players more range however I've seen many 10U teams play inside presumably because the coaches don't believe the batters can't hit the ball out of the infield or their players don't have the arms.
Generally for balls hit to the outfield the 2nd baseman is the cut off for balls hit to the right of second base and the short stop is the cut off for left field and center. These are for balls that get pass the outfielders. The cut off player lines themselves up halfway between the outfielder and the base the play may be. Otherwise in the advance levels outfielders are expected to be able to throw to any base on balls that are kept in front of them.
It's not unusual for a right fielder in the advance levels to throw out a batter at first if she is playing shallow and fields a ground ball quickly and cleanly.
Your last question ?Obviously if there is a play at third she throws to third otherwise she should run the ball in to the pitcher if there is no play. No need to throw home or throw the ball at all.
