coach visits to the pitcher and running out the clock

Question
ASA - TTAS 10U. As far as I know there are no modifications. The end of a 10U game - clock was running out the Visitors had used 2 visits to the mound (1 in inning 2 - 1 in the current inning). With 2 outs and 2 minutes left. I told my batter (9th hitter) to swing at 3 pitches so that we could play another inning. After 2 strikes the visiting coach went out to talk to his pitcher, 3rd visit - 2nd in the inning. Should he be required to change pitchers? Thanks so much - this sight has really helped me learn alot.
Answer
Thanks for the question!
ASA Rule 5 Section 7 You get three charged defensive conferences in a 7 inning game. On the fourth charged conference, the pitcher must be removed from the pitching position for the remainder of the game (they can still play other positions). You also get one charged defensive conference for each extra inning you play after 7. If you take 2 charged defensive conferences in any one extra inning, the pitcher must be removed from the pitching position for the remainder of the game.
...As long as the plate umpire kept track of the conferences. :-)
You may want to ask the plate umpire when the defense has a conference if it is a "Charged Conference" that way you make the umpire to note it in his head as well as yours.
I hope this answers your question, if not please reply!
