Question
I have a question about what should be correct. Our games are scheduled to start at 7, 8:30, & 10 PM. In a copy of rules handed out it states:
"All season games will run for 1 hour of play. Each team has 10 minutes from the start of scheduled game time to take the field or bat after which a forfeit will be taken."
So am I correct to interpret this as the game is scheduled to start at 7, so if we don't start playing until 7:10 we still only have until 8 pm not 8:10 since it says from the start of scheduled game time? Also we played 6 innings and then we called time since it was after 8 pm. So since we played 6 innings we would go by what the score was for the end of the 6th, or do you go back to what it was in the 5th?

Answer
Hi Kayla,

I can't help you with the game times as it is a local rule not an ASA rule.  Just ask your softball person what it is.

If you played 6 full innings I would assume that is the score.  If the home team did not get to finish the 6th inning and was behind I would assume you go to the score at the end of 5.
