Question
hi i am cerissa and i am 15 i play catcher and shortstop and my arm strenght is no where near what it used to be and i am throwin my ball hogh or low can u help me with what i can do tho fix this

Answer
Hello Cerissa,
Why is your arm not as strong as it used to be?  To keep yourself from throwing the ball high, make sure you are throwing at a downward angle.  Do not let your hand get underneath the ball when you throw.  REMEMBER, it is not your arm that throws the ball, it is your upper body.  If you rely on your arm alone to do the job, you will face some shoulder and elbow injuries. Some other things that you can check for:
1. Your 3 middle fingertips need to grip the seams of the ball.  You should not be palming the ball when you throw.
2. The exchange (when you grab the ball from your glove) needs to be done at the throwing shoulder.
3. Bring your arm back to a 90 degree angle and point your glove to your target. As your shoulders cross over the throw, you pull your glove in towards your body.
4.  Follow through   Do not side arm.

I hope in some way I could help you!
