slow pitch mound distance

Question
We are starting a coed slow pitch team.  How far from home plate is the pitching mount to be?

Answer
Thanks for the question!

In ASA the pitcher's plate is 50 feet from home plate.  Most ball parks are set up this way.  Some fields have 2 sets of pitcher's plates.  One at 40 feet for fast pitch, one at 50 feet for slow pitch.

Have fun playing softball!
