Trips to pitcher mound

8&u tournament play, fastpitch.  The umpire and coach of other team said according to the ASA Rules that you are allowed 2 trips to mound and on the third she is to be pulled.  I was sure it was on the second trip to mound she is to be pulled. There was 8 minutes left in the game.  Please help..... I can't find ASA rules online anywhere.  Thanks Kim

Hi Kim,

Actually you are both wrong.

A team is allowed 3 defensive conferences per 7 innings.  They may all be taken in 1 inning or spread out over the 7.

Once the 3 have been taken the pitcher must be removed for each additional conference
