Home Run?

2016/7/15 17:47:36

Question
A batter hit a lead-off home run.  He touched Ist, 2nd and 3rd bases then went into the dugout claiming that ASA rules state he does not need to touch home plate.  On appeal, the ump called him out.  Was this the proper call?

Answer
Thanks for the question!

If the ball was A level or higher in Men's 12", then the runner does not have to touch the bases.  If the ball is B or lower then the runner must touch all the bases.

I hope this helps answer your question, if not please reply!
