touching plate

2016/7/15 17:47:14

Question
ok..lets say there are only 5 home runs allowed in the game... as the game goes on we hit four..Now, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, 2 out, i hit a dinger...i come around the bases and accidently touch home plate... (touching home plate is an out where we play).

1. i am out at the plate for touching it..but do the runners before me score as normal?

2. If i am out does the homerun count in our 5 (im guessing it does)

thanks, Duncan

Answer
Hi Duncan,

That is really a strange rule, I've never heard of something like that before.

So I'm going to reverse it and answer as if by MASA rules you missed the plate.

All runs in front of you would score, because it is not a force out.

Yes it would count as a home run.
