Foul Poles

2016/7/15 17:46:11

Question
I am constructing a softball field for NJCAA play and plan to use 5" by 30' square light poles for foul poles, but have been told that round poles must be used.  I can't find any rule regarding this subject.

Answer
Hi Bill,

Sorry this took so long, I've been looking all over myself.

I usually don't answer non-umpire question but this one was uncommon.  Unless there is a field construction manual somewhere I can't find anything either.

I saw poles with wings etc and no answers anywhere I looked.
