ASA Class A/B rules

2016/7/15 17:44:34

Question
What are the residency requirements, if any, that separate ASA Class A and Class B teams.  We are a Class B team, all from 1 town.  Some of the tournaments that we play in, advertised as Class B/Rec All-star, have girls from many towns on the same team.  I see some of these B teams advertising for players.  I'd just like to know the rules.

Answer
Hi Steven,

You might want to contact ASA through their website on this (as I am just an umpire and tournament uic and never make a decision on player eligibility, that's somebody else's job) but I don't believe (and am 99.5% sure)there is any residency requirements.  I believe the roster is judged only by the skills of the individual players on it and a class of play determined.
