Wrist in cast

2016/7/15 17:42:46

Question
My daughter is on a 10u travel team.  They have a tournament this weekend.  Her wrist is in a cast (she fractured her wrist).  Is it legal for her to play with a cast on?

Answer
Most sanctioning bodies will not allow a player to play with a hard cast on.  If it is only a fracture, you may want to consult the physician about putting a soft cast (usually removable) on her for the weekend.  I had a player play half a season in one a couple of years ago.  I'm assuming it is her non-throwing hand.  If not then you obviously don't want to try and play with it.  Good luck and I hope she heals quickly.
