Question
On a bunt attempt, is it automatically a strike if the batter doesn抰 pull the bat back out of the strike zone?

Answer
Hi Kenny,

No the bat may be left across the plate.  There must be movement of the bat to the ball as it approaches or crosses the plate area for a strike to be called in the ball is out of the strike zone.  Of course if the ball crosses the plate in the strike zone, that would be a strike regardless.
