Question
My daughter plays third and now has a 12.25 inch glove sometimes it seems a little small. What size do you suggest. Also she moves to first when another girl pitches for us, should we start carrying two gloves.

Answer
Hello Mike,

12.25 is okay for an infielder.  Personally I prefer a 12.5, but there isn't significant difference.  Outfielders usually use a larger glove, because emphasis on glove to hand transition of the ball isn't as critical.  I don't think a first baseman's mitt is necessary for softball.  Since she is using a 12.25, I would recommend a larger glove for first base to help her dig those low throws out of the dirt with and give her a little more height on the high throws.
