Question
What is a good time for a right handed hitter to get to first, for a high school player? thanks

Answer
I'd like to see a Right handed hitter get to first in 3.1 to 3.4 seconds or less.  I guess it really depends on the size of the girl.  Bigger girls aren't likely to make that time.  If you have a girl doing it under 3.1 seconds, I'd consider teaching her how to slap hit from the left side.  Anything under 3 seconds from the left side is a very tough out when slapping.
