Co-Ed Positions

Question
Can you tell me the best positions for the female and male players in coed slow-pitch softball?  i have quite a few adult first time players.  doing this for fun but i was unsure of where to play everyone.  THANKS for any guidance you can provide.

Answer
Hello Cassie,

Unfortunately, I only played part of one season several years ago in a co-ed league, but I'll tell you what I think.  Men's positions for co-ed:  Third, Shortstop, Left Center, Left, and Pitcher.  The reasoning for all is that I want more speed at left and left center.  I want a stronger arm at third and shortstop so they can play deeper.  I don't want a female pitcher getting hit by a strong male hitter.  Hopefully this doesn't sound chauvinist, but that is my reasoning.  All other positions I would play either female or male.
