Question
i have  a total knee replacement and i want to know if an ASA Softball Director can he deny me or my team the right to use the flex rule?

Answer
Hi Greg,

You must be physically challenged under the ADA guidelines in order to use a flex in sp.

I do not know if a knee replacement meets those guidelines but  I would doubt it.

I did check the ADA website and got this

The term "disability" means, with respect to an individual

   (A) a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities of such individual;

   (B) a record of such an impairment; or

   (C) being regarded as having such impairment.

You should contact the national ASA for more info on your situation.
