EH and re-entry

Question
OK so if the extra hitter is not present at one of her at bats that is an out.  Is she however allowed (same person) to bat when it comes back to her i guess you could say re-enter.

Answer
Hi Pauline,

In ASA play, if you are using an EP (I assume this is a sp question) and they leave the game (not present to bat) and there is no legal sub available, it is an out and the player is not allowed to re-enter the game unless they were being treated under the blood rule.
