Question
2 outs 0-2 count ball so far out side it hitS the back stop.B-1 checks swing.Ball is called loud enough for all to here. B-1 pauses till someone yells run then stops.No play on b-1 or to 1st.Team in field wants to appeal check swing.After a bit or proding appeal is made to the 1st base umpire,He rules strike!What do We have? Beside a rear end chewing by the team that "was"at bat.jd

Answer
I've got a runner on first with two outs.  Next batter.  Pitcher gets credited with strike out and a wild pitch!  
 
I know this is a problem somewhere and a coach will be ticked no matter what the call.

My first thought was the way I called it but then thought about the opportunity lost by the defense and became unsure.  I called he ASA district UIC and he agreed.
