Question
In the 11&12 age group girls fastpitch softball when can the base runner leave the bag.

Answer
It depends on the rules being used. I know with ASA it is the same as the older girls, they can't leave until the ball leaves the pitchers hand. I think this would be the Major level age group for Little League and I think, but am not sure, they can't leave until the ball crosses the plate.

I am on the road this weekend. Post me a follow up and I will look it up when I get home. I have a Little League rule book at home.
