Question
My 9 year old daughter has been pitching for about a year and taking private lessons with a pitching coach.  She is very big for her age and has lots of speed.  We are starting into our travel season and I was wondering how much we should be pitching her for practice.  Should we pitch her on the days she does not have a game for 30-40 mins?   We are trying to keep a balance and not burn her out.  Thanks!

Answer
Sherry,

The last sentance is the important one.  Don't burn her out.  I would have her pitch 3-4 days a week, including game days.

A little more if there is a specific problem you are trying to correct.  The most important thing at this age or at any age is that she is enjoying the game.
