Protests

Question
Hi Mark,
If I understand protests correctly, if a legal protest is filed the game continues. If the team filing the protest wins, the protest is essentially meaningless since the game won't be replayed. If the protesting team loses, the game is replayed from the exact point of the protest. Is that correct?
If I'm the manager of a team who benefits from a misapplication of the rules, and I see the other team is going to protest... knowing that they will win the protest, can I protest it as well?
My thinking is that assuming the protest is upheld, winning the game does nothing for me since we'll have to replay the game. If we lose, we lose. If I protest the call we'll just be replaying the game either way. Is this possible?
Answer
Hi Jayce,
Correct
No I don't think so, I understand your logic. Only the affected (or disadvantaged) team can protest
I would instead as the team benefiting talk to the blue, say this is my understanding of the rule......., let's try to straighten this out as I don't want to replay the game.
