Question
starting winup r/h, how for back can the ball go behinde her rigth leg. book said one revolution, is that were the ball starts at the hip ? the girls are pulling the ball back 2 feet to 1an 1/2 behine there leg . what is the rule. 11-12 ponytail. thanks coachfred.

Answer
What I interpret your question as asking is, how many revolutions can the pitchers arm make as part of the windmill?  The answer is less than two.

For example.  A pitcher that extends her arm straight back as part of her wind up.  She then starts her forward motion and has 1 1/4 revolutions of the arm to the relase point.  As long as she doesn't follow through for another 3/4 revolution, she is legal.

I don't have the Ponytail rule book handy, but I am fairly sure that this rule would be universal from all of the sanctioning organizations.
