Hitting vs. live pitching

Question
Please allow me to apologize for the length of this question prior to me asking it.  I have a daughter who plays fastpitch softball for her high school.  She is a pretty good contact hitter, but she struggles every year when she starts lunging and getting her weight on her front foot.  I use a back toss drill and tee work and I even have her stand on a 2X4 when doing soft toss so she can be balanced when she swings, but nothing works.  She does all of the drills fine and she even admits the only time she lunges is when she faces live pitching.  I am not much of a pitcher, so I can not find a solution to get her out of her funk.  It is so bad that she looks like she is trying to screw her front foot in the ground after she misses a pitch when her back leg wraps around the front of the plate.  Please help!  Thanks

Answer
Rod,

I have had very good luck teaching girls to hit using what I have learned from Mike Espstein.  www.mikeepsteinhitting.com .  I have no affiliation with him other than as a satisfied customer.  Get his stuff and teach your daughter a proper swing.

I hope this helps.

Tom
