what is the rules for slow pitch softball? can you steal, when can you steal if you can.

Hi Steve,

In ASA SP play stealing is legal except in coed, senior and master's play.

You cannot leave the base until the ball reaches the front edge of the plate

If the ball hits the plate or in front of the plate it is a dead ball and you cannot steal

you may advance when a play is made on a runner
the catcher fails to catch the ball
the catcher hits the batter on a throw to the pitcher or to a base
