Question
I have two questions. If you use a CR for a catcher, can the CR then be used later in the game as a defensive player or as a pinch hitter for another player (in neither case the catcher)?

Another question: Let's say you are using a FLEX and a DP. One inning you put in a sub for the DP. Then later you re-enter your original DP. Can that sub then be re-entered into the game on defense for someone other than the FLEX player? Thanks.

Answer
In question one what you are really asking is about subsitution rules.  The answer is yes the CR can be subbed in for another player later in the game.  If this happens, they can no longer run for the catcher.

Again a subsitution question.  No in this case the sub was entered into the game in the DP's batting spot.  That sub if removed can not re-enter the game in a nother spot in the line-up which is what would happen if subbed for anyone other than the DP.  Even if subbed for the FLEX player this would not be legal as the flex play holds the 10th spot in the line-up.
