Scoring rule and batting average

Question
Situation: R1 at third with less than two outs. B1 hits a ground ball to second which is fielded cleanly and the out is recorded on B1 at first and on the play R1 scores without a play. For game scoring purposes, I believe B1 would get an RBI, but would it be counted as an at bat for batting average purposes. If it had been a caught fly ball to the outfield that scored the run, the batter gets an RBI and a sacrifice which does not count against their batting average. Is that also true for a run scoring ground ball?
Answer
I check a scoring guide on this one. This is not a sacrifie. There are only sacrifice bunts and sacrifice flys. No sacrifice ground balls. Doesn't seem fair but I think you score the sacrifice based on intent before the ball is pitched.
I know that the sacrifice fly may be a bit of a stretch in some age levels. But that seems to be the way it is.
