Question
if an attempted catch on a ball in fair play was missed and dropped out of play but the player stayed fair  before or after the bag at third what would the call be.  Also as a coach are you permitted to stand in for a pitcher while she is warming up between innings I always wear a glove just in case

Answer
Hi Kevin,

It never, ever, never matters where the fielder is on fair/foul.  It only matters where the ball is.

On batted balls between home and 1st or 3rd and on balls in flight if the ball is on or over fair territory when 1st touched it is a fair ball.

Likewise if the ball is on or over foul territory when 1st touched it is a foul ball.

#2 Sorry i don't understand your question
