Softball interference/obstruction

Question
Hi,
Thanks for the help.  Great info.
3 Questions, all from our game last night - that we won.
1.  Runner on Second, ground ball to SS.  The ball has not reached the runner yet, but the SS runs over the runner (Who is still in full stride).  Ump called interference.

2.  Runner headed to 2nd base, and trips over the second baseman.  He is then out.  Umps says there was not obstruction.

3.  Runner on 2B.  Ground ball to the right of SS.  The SS can not get the ball because the runner is standing in the way.  The SS pulls up to avoid contact.  Ump says no interference occured.

Are all 3 of these the right call?

Thanks,
Matthew

Answer
Hi Matt,

You really give me minimal info but we'll try

1)  if F6 is attempting to field the batter ball I have interference, R1 must vacate or not enter any space needed for that.

2) If F4 does not have the ball and impeded R1 in his line to 2nd I would have obstruction

3)  would like to see all of it but if R1 impeded or hindered F6 in fielding the batted ball I would have interference.  Contact is not a requirement of interference
