Illegal Substitution / Ineligible Sub

2016/7/15 17:17:35

Question
Can you clarify both illegal sub and inelgible sub.
What is the penalty for an illegal sub or unreported sub on defense.  On offense, it seems simple for batting out of turn, but if the sub is illegal, isnt it an ejection.  What is the penalty to a coach.  Can the coach be ejected.

Answer
the coach can never be ejected without a prior warning? if you bat out of turn you obviously know that the batter is out. if you put a player in that is not eligable to play, and you play the whole game and dont get caught, and you get caught after the game, you will forfit the game automatically. if you put someone in to play and do not report it, nothing really happens the first time, the bookeeper will just tell the umpire and they will stop the game and get eveything situated and tell you not to do it again. if it happens again, they could take that player out of the game and tell you that you are not allowed to put her in for the rest of the game.
