Question
Im a high school softball jv coach. My daughter is a freshman this year and will be on the jv team as one of the pitchers.  I also give pitching lessons at a local softball academy. I need to know if I can give pitching/hitting lessons to my daughter and/or any of the other jv pitchers or players during our off season at the academy?

Answer
Ericka,

This isn't as much a softball rules question as it is a state high school athletic association policy.

In Michigan, as long as there were not more than 3 girls that participate in you schools softball program in the building at the same time you are coaching, all levels of school ball, you are good to go.  We are talking off-season.  In season Michigan has no limits on the amount of kids you can coach at once.

This is different state by state.  You need to ask this question of your athletic director.  Your AD will in turn take it to your state high school athletic association for clarification.
