Question
What are the demensions of the batter's box and the relation of home plate to the batter's box.

Answer
Hi Ave,

Thanks for your question.  You may be inquiring about the recent rescinded change to the ASA rules.  The size of the batter's box depends on the type of softball you are playing.  According to the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) for for 11 and 12 inch slow pitch the size of the batter's box should be 3' X  7'.  For 16-inch softball the size should be 4' X 8'.

I hope this helps.
