catchers obstruction

bases loaded 1 out batter swings hits catchers mitt and hits the ball at the same time, the ball goes towards the right side of the field and ball hits the runner who is running from 1st to 2nd before the fielder, what is the call?

Hi Steve,

we have CO which is a ddb, and since R3 did not advance safely to the next base, the offense may take the result of the play (which I doubt) or the award for CO.

The award is the batter is awarded 1st base and all other runners advance only if forced. IN this case R1 scores and bases remain loaded w/ 1 out.
