Shorthanded player rule

2016/7/15 17:14:56

Question
Team starts shorthanded. two players show up top 2nd, when can they enter game??

Answer
Hey Larry,

Thanks for your question.  It's hard to answer this question. For one, rules are different for just about every league.  I play in three different leagues and rules are different for each one.  Generally, if you are short-handed you are allowed your 10th to fill in the outfield spot where you are short-handed...automatically.

As for your 11th player, it really depends on your league.  Is this a co-rec league?  If so, his ability to be inserted depends on the number of opposite-sex players currently playing.  If the league is a rec league, he/she would probably get into the line-up right then.  However, for more strict league rules, I recommend contacting the other expert on this site.  He is a rules guru and should be able to answer your question.  But you may want to provide him with some of the answers from above in your request.

Good luck!

Shane
