Outfield positioning

2016/7/15 17:14:41

Question
Is there a rule that the oufielders in a 10u game must be a certain number of feet behind the infielders or can the outfielders be wherever they want?

Answer
Hi Gary,

you might have local rules that supercede ASA but in strict ASA (other than coed)the only requirement is that all defensive players other then the catcher must be in fair territory at the time of the pitch.

ie you could other than  F1 and F2 have 7 players placed between 3rd and 2nd if you wanted to, or other than  F1 and F2 7 in right field.
