illegal softball bats

hi shane  i am   in  a s a slow pitch league in edison new jersey ; no double or triple wall along with titanium bats are legal....how about mikan bats????, are any legal according to a s a guidelines???

Hey Jack,

You will have to go to your league for that answer.  Every league is different.  They SHOULD provide everyone with a list of illegal bats before the season starts, I've never played in a league that didn't.  Try your coach/manager first though, as they probably have it already.

As a note, bats are deemed illegal for safety reasons.  Many bats are just waaaay to good and the ball comes off the hit too fast for novice players to be able to react fast enough and thus injuries occur.
