Question
i have two questions first is pitcher is on the rubber and a runner on third, runner comes off third three feet pitcher goes into wind up runner goes back allowed or out. number two ball is hit to first base man she is in base line and this is 5 feet from first, runner runs into 1st base man she cant make the play they both fall whats the call.   thanks ty

Answer
Hi Ty,

#1 If the pitcher is in the circle w/ control of the ball and R1 is stopped on 3rd and then comes off the base it is a violation of the LBR, dead ball R1 is out.

#2 a defensive player must be allowed to field the batted ball anywhere on the playing field.  Based on your facts I would have interference, dead ball runner out.  A runner must vacate any space needed for the defense to execute play.  The fact that F3 is in the "baseline" doesn't matter.
