Should game be suspended or cancel

Question
We were playing softball tonight when the power went out.  We were in the 3rd inning and winning 10 to 1.  The decision was made to play the game tomorrow.  The umpire said the ASA rule is we had to start over from the beginning.  Is this correct?  What are the rules that pertain to suspending a game?

Answer
Hi Mike,

I'm answering this as quick as I can.  The umpire is wrong we re-start the game at the EXACT spot it was stopped down to the balls and strikes on the batter. ASA 5-3-d

Any player on the roster can play in the re-start, just legally sub them in.
