Question
Hi,  for adult SP Softball, How big is the batters box, and where is it relative to the Plate?  We generally do not have full Batter's Box lines, but some people are taking 2 steps forward, after starting in the middle of the plate and hitting the opposite field, and I am thinking that that is out of the box.   Thanks!!!!

Answer
Hi Tony,

OK the BB is 3' by 7', 4' in front of a line drawn thru the middle of the plate,  the inner line 6" from home plate.

Remember any part of the foot touching any part of the line is in the box.  If a foot in a shoe is about 12", you could have 1 foot in the air and the back foot almost 5' in front of the center of the plate, touching the line w/ the heel and still be in the box.
