Question
runner on first, pitcher attempts pick-off on same runner who is leading off first. The first baseman drops the throw but blocks the runner from getting back to first base and then tags him out.I called the runner safe due to obstuction and awarded the runner second base.Right or wrong call?

Answer
Hi jake,

I've never seen a 16" game.  However if obstruction rules are the same and why wouldn't they be, we protect the runner between the bases they were obstructed and award the runner the base they would have made had they not been obstructed.  In a 12" game I would simply give the runner 1st again.
