Fastpitch Catchers Mitt

Question
Is there a difference between a baseball catchers mitt and softball?  My daughter fell in love with one that is labeled for baseball.  She's not a first year catcher.  She's 13, but has been catching for about 7 years now.

Answer
Yes there is a difference.  The softball mitt has a bigger pocket amoung other things.  With that said, if it isn't to expensive of an experiment, and she can make the plays with it, why not let her try it!  But, it most likely will not perform as well for softball.
