Question
a player attemps to catch ball in fair territory and arm crosses in to foul territory catches it but body is in fair and arm is in foul is it a fair or foul ball for asa

Answer
Steve,

Let me answer your question this way.

First a caught fly ball is never a foul ball.  It is live regardless of where it is caught on the on the playing field!

Second, the location of the players body doesn't matter when first touching the ball to determine if it is fair or foul.  If the ball is on or over foul territory when first touched, foul ball.  It on or over fair territory when first touched, fair ball.  It is the location of the ball and nothing else when first touched that determines fair or foul.  Of course if it is a caught fly ball, it is never a foul ball!
