batter in or out of batter box

Question
when a batter is batting, and they step in front of the plate to hit the ball, should the batter be called out or is the hit a legitimate hit?

Answer
Hi William,

If the foot is on the ground entirely outside the line of the batter's box or the foot touches any part of hp when contact w/ the ball is made, the batter is out.

You can step in front of hp have 1 foot in the air or have part of the foot touching part of the line, make contact and we play on.
